Required ingredients for Goan Prawn Balchao:


1 kg. Prawns (shelled and divined)
300 ml. Vegetable or Sunflower Oil
1 onion (chopped)
8 curry leaves
1 garlic pod paste
5 inch ginger
4 or 5 tsps Galmbo Balchao (shrimp preserve)
2 tsps. Turmeric powder
2 tsps. Salt
3 tsps. Sugar

How to prepare Goan Prawn Balchao?


Wash neatly the prawns and let dry its water completely. You may apply salt and turmeric powder per your taste and keep it standing for 2 hours to soak. You may through the its drain water that has and keep prawn aside.

Get the large pan and try to heat the oil, fry the onions till it is tender, add prawns on it and fry them well. Try to get another pan, heat the balance oil, add ginger & garlic paste, curry leaves and Galmbo Balchao - shrimp preserve.

Let if fry for few seconds then stir it on slow fire for few more seconds. Get it and mix the fried prawns and sugar. Keep stove in Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes and take away the pan down from the fire.

Let it cool and enjoy it. Please note that you should not use water at all.
