Goa is the smallest state in India by Area. But by population it places fourth place. it is located on the west coast of India. this small state is blessed with a good coastal climate. The best time to visit Goa is from mid July to September end or November end to mid February. In its north side it is bounded by Maharashtra. In its east and south, it is bounded by Karnataka. Arabian Sea forms its western coast. Goa is known as the ‘Pearl of the Orient”.

North Goa headquarters is present at Panaji and South Goa headquarters is present at Margao. Each year it is visited by many international and domestic tourists. There are two districts presents in this state. The largest city in this state is Vasco da Gama. It was liberated from Portuguese rule in 1961. It was part of Union territory of Goa, Daman & Diu till it was carved out to form a separate State. This state was established in 30 May 1987. The language spoken in this area is Konkani. The population of this state is 940 /sq m.
