Goa Govt face difficulties in translation on Konkani language

The Goa state government stressed to put into practice the Goa Official Language Act in right solemn, it is become visible that it will not able to do anything important unless Konkani vocabulary is ready.

There are few people who can do it but it is not an easy to complete it in a year or tow. Transformations in official language Konkani are difficult to make without Konkani vocabulary. “It takes long to translate in Konkani as there is no terminology”, told Director of Official Languages.

The Department of Official Language, has, however, started work in this direction, it is mesured that it will take few years before Vocabulary in six sections in Konkani is ready for cross checking and reference. The Goa State government is unable to draw out an official gazette in Konkani language and nothing much can be done unless Konkani terminology is ready.
