NSUI President for state, Sunil Kawathankar was under attacked

Goa, 24 Jul 2010, NSUI (National Students Union of India) President for state, Sunil Kawathankar was under attacked by two unknown persons at Assonora on 23 Jul 2010 night., the incident occurred at about 8.45 pm when Kawathankar and his friends were proceeding in his car from Panjim towards Bicholim, According to Mapusa Police.
Unknown persons riding a motorcycle chased them and blocked the car near Assonora. They had thrown stones at Kawathankar, who was driving the car, and ran away.
Kavthankar continued face injuries and was admitted to nearest Vrundavan Hospital in Mapusa. Mapusa Police PI Rajesh Kumar is investigating the case.
Crime Branch is trying to restrain the movement against them, Kawathankar had said.
