Job Description
The responsibilities for a Security Analyst include any or all of the following activities:
• Provide timely operational responses and remedial actions to computer security incidents
• Implement preventive actions to minimize/mitigate security risks
• Conduct threat and risk assessments and risk management services, providing security risk evaluation, mitigation and solutions to projects and initiatives
• Stay abreast of industry best practices in risk management techniques and integrate new methods and tools as appropriate
• Work as a member of the Security Operations Services team to develop and implement strategies to balance security recommendations with business needs
• Provide technical support for corporate security initiatives such as intrusion detection, virus and malicious code protection, operating systems (Windows 2000/2003/XP and Unix/Solaris/Linux) security support, networking, and firewall administration
