After every diwali there is a celebration called Deva Diwali on the full moon day just next after Diwali and on this auspicious day when it is believed that Lord Shiva set free the Gods from the fortresses of Tripurasur and the day is celebrated as coming back home of those Gods and so it is celebrated by Deva's.

Now in modern times the
Goa Department of Art & Culture along with
Goa Tourism Development Corporation,
Department of Information & Publicity &
Dipawali Utsav Samiti,
Vithalapur Sanquelim
jointly organises TRIPURARI POORNIMA(BOAT SHOW) on the first full-moon light after Diwali.The celebration goes on in front of Shree Pandurang Temple, Vithalapur Sanquelim.

Now a days this Boat festival is declared as a government festival and is celebrated all over the state in the same mannar as navratri a state festival of Gujarat state and lohri a state festival in Haryana and Punjab.
