Murgaon Education Society’s was established in 1971 at Vasco-da-Gama. This was also the first composite Arts and Commerce College in the State of Goa to be affiliated to the University of Mumbai and then to Goa University. The College seeks to bring about all round integrated development of the intellectual, moral and physical faculties of its students, so that they can become self reliant, play positive role in the nation building and provide leadership to society in various walks of life. Pursuit of excellence is the motto of this college. The college was shifted to its present Zuarinagar Campus in June 1985.
